Facebook £20.00 Giveaway.

Auction For Japan.

As the whole world was hurting for the people of Japan, I, like everyone else felt there was little we could do to help.  That feeling  gave birth to the idea of holding a Facebook Auction for Japan.  Within seconds of starting the page, items and people showing their support flooded in, it was amazing and made me proud to be human.  Friends of mine Junko, Mark, Jim and Jo immediately jumped in and administrated things. Jim worked tirelessly organising pics into album folders and Junko became our treasurer. Junko picked the charities as she is from Japan and has family there, so we felt that she would have the best knowledge of charities that were helping. We decided on The Red Cross and a charity called Shelterbox, both of whom are always the first on scene in disasters all over the world. After tons of hard work, confusion, hilarious bidding (some of our bidders were extremely witty) and then more hard work, mainly for Junko, we eventually raised around £600.  Thank you to all the wonderful people who took part, like I said sometimes I'm proud to be human :)
